Yes, we know that summer is still months away (which may seem like an eternity), but at the same time, that’s all the more reason to start looking forward to it. As you can probably tell, summer is one of our favorite times of the year here at ecoFINISH®. To our team – pools are what life’s all about, and we’re just counting down until the sweet, warm days of summer are finally here. We also provide swimming pool coatings to give your pool the best solution possible when it comes to swimming pool finishes.

One way to look forward to this summer is to think about which swimming pool workouts you’d like to try out this year. Here are the top three that we found:

  1. Jumping jacks – Although jumping jacks are typically done on land (for all you landlubbers out there), they can also be done in the pool. In fact, the water creates more pressure on you, which makes this exercise a little bit harder and a lot more effective. Stand with your legs together and your arms at your sides, then jack your arms and legs wide and bring them back together. The more advanced version is done by not touching the bottom.
  1. Seahorse – The Seahorse exercise is done by standing upright and holding a pool noodle in front of your body. Then, you dive forward leading with the noodle until you’re flat against the water’s surface. It’s similar to a plank position but with your arms fully extended and holding onto the noodle. You’ll bend at the knees and hips while bringing your knees into your chest. Then, place your feet on the floor.
  1. Cross country ski – This exercise is done by mimicking a cross country skiing action. You move one leg to the back while the other leg moves to the front, while your arms are doing the opposite. This exercise focuses on working out your lower body and spinal rotation.

With these three exercises, you can take on the world (or at least the pool). To learn more about pool exercises or swimming pool resurfacing, contact our ecoFINISH® team at 1-800-704-4167.
